Who lives in Dekalb?

Dekalb certainly have some rough spots, but many nice spots as well with some great folks. I grew up in south Dekalb and it is a very dangerous place now with lots criminals.

Nobody has mentioned all the government problems in the last few years. Schools almost losing accreditation, water authority employees accept plea deals for overtime scandal, employees in ticket office skimmed millions a few years ago. Burrell Ellis in jail. I mean if you can't trust the government who can you trust

I remember when Redan high school was brand new and Hidden Hills subdivision was beautiful and upper crust. I bought my first home just down the street from Redan in 1984......still a pretty nice neighborhood then.
Not anymore!
Here is all you need to know about that place now....They consistently send Hank Johnson back to congress time after time after time.
That says it all!!

dekalb is a large county

its run by corrupt assholes in its entirety, but there are enclaves that dont contain the low rent wildlife

Hidden Hills is depressing. There were many farms around the town of Stone Mountain in the 70s and early 80s and it was beautiful.
