Who would yall recomend for tranmission rebuild

My truck has started slipping and I was wondering if anybody knows a good place around Acworth or the surrounding area. Thanks in advance!

Somebody on here has to have had a transmission rebuilt, I have just heard to many stories about shade tree mechanics and was hoping not to pick one!

Transmissions by Joe if you can make it to Dallas. They are honest and reasonably priced. Took my daughters car to them with what we thought would need to be a new transmission and they found the problem was the shift indicator, no charge other than a fluid change. They could have easily said a new transmission and she would have never known.

What kind of transmission ?

About 12 years ago I had Aamco rebuild a 1987 700r4 in my trans am. It was AWESOME. Some transmissions are notoriously bad/junk.

There's a place in Austell that rebuilt mine on my jeep. This guy has worked on all of my moms vehicles and won't beat around the bush...tell him what your able to afford and he might work with you.
