Forget the details; name recognition is what matters. Getting the buzz. Putting your product into people's minds is more important than the substance of what's being said about that product.

I’m not a glock fan by far and usually stick to sub compacts. I only held a 19x and thought it was good. Wouldn’t mind getting one eventually.

I'm sure it's a fine gun. Here's the thing though. I have an M&P compact 2.0. It has a four inch barrel and two 15rd magazines. It also comes with two magazine sleeves that can be put on a 17rd magazine if you want to. I bought one for $20 and keep it in the gun when it's on the nightstand. The sleeve doesn't move up and down or pinch my fingers. The really good part is that I can CHOOSE to have a shorter grip for easier concealment. I also paid about $150 less than you would for a 19x. I guess my main issue with it is that I don't see where all that extra money is going.

This is actually wrong. There are differences in grip shape between the 19 and the 17/19x other then length. Some people don’t mind them but others can feel a big difference and prefer one or the other.

From my research. I think the full grip appeals to many with big paws. The ability to have 2 extra rounds without extensions or it dangling. The ability to clear leather quicker due to shorter barrel will allow faster shot on target. The shorter barrel does not pinch your side IWB or poke your leg AIWB.

Anyone with hands large enough to think a G19 is too small shouldn’t even need a gun.

Quality product + quality marketing = sales. I have no interest in the 19x but I applaud them for selling the **** out of them. A lot of people bitch about Glock not be innovative enough, but when you're at the top in sales why the hell would you change your product. People want innovation they can by whatever gimmick kel-tec is putting out, or buy a new Sig and hope it works.
