Publix had nice Corned Beef briskets on sale last week for $3.99 /lb

That's cheap too, but it ain't $2/lb cheap!

Saw only 2 briskets left at my local Kroger...i was stunned looking at the prices...one was $95 and the other was $101. With card they were around $31 give or take a buck. Wish I had additional room in the freezers downstairs.

What's the typical $/ lb for whole brisket at Kroger??

Varies $3 a $5 /lb sometimes higher.

BTW, I love corned beef but I hate paying for it. It's like $7/lb.

I found a recipe for the brine online, you have to brine it about 10 days. But doing it yourself with a brisket is worth it! Thanks DD!

I've been wanting to try this myself. The problem is I am the only one that will eat CB in my house.

It will be replenished, the sale just started...I love Crock pot corn beef as well, so many leftovers in our house..I can't justify buying one any more...I have made Reuben sandwiches, corn beef Reuben egg rolls, and Corn Beef Hash. I do love putting a head of cabbage with yukon potatoes in the crock
