Whole house generator install

I have one at my house and I love it.. power goes out.. 30 seconds later it cuts on , if you want the info of company that installed for me let me know.

The company was Cummins South out of Chattanooga.. Andy Downs was generator sales guy, Doug Cantrell was installer . Their number is 423-629-1447 And they have an office in Atlanta as well.

Darkdiesel wired my addition. Great work and left everything cleaner than when he found it. I would recomend him to anybody.

i would go natural gas.......never heard of it going out, probably already have it running at your house, and dont have to worry about refilling it.

Quick Update

I ended up finding a installer that was highly recommended (and completed installs one neighborhood over) and willing to manage the whole job. (Pad/plumbing/permits/etc). Job is not done yet but should be next week.

As a side note “Darkdiesel” was very helpful and his estimates were very good. I’m not able to manage the other small details with the install otherwise I would have went with him.

Natural gas, most of the new generator installs go with that.

I still need a manual transfer switch installed in Monroe. As I said before my meter base includes whole house disconnect and is located very close to the driveway where I would like to park the generator when in use. Mine is a gas ( not natural) portable 15KW generator. Does anyone on here do this kind of work?
