Why are SCARs so freaking expensive?

I don't care what you say, thats one of my favorite pistols right there. Some people don't know this but the Mark 23 was actually used often as a primary weapon. Not just as a secondary weapon! Those things are pure sex!
I love the MK 23 as well but my point was Navy Seals don't really use them. The SCAR 17 Was developed for SOF but it isn't used as a primary weapon system. Yes so guys may like and use them but not all. ODA guys can use anything they can qualify with but they have to cross train the other 11 guys in the weapons use.

Right. I totally agree and get your point. I'm just saying 3k is not much to ask for. Someone name me a reliable 7.62 nato rifle that is not outdated! :D

SCAR 17 had me until the reciprocating charging handle. I still may eventually get a SCAR 17 but I really like my AR style rifles. I'm a bit outdated myself.

The biggest thing that was selling me on the SCAR was the weight. 8 pounds VS 9,5 lbs of the AR while not much of a difference it is still a difference.
