Why are there so few stainless shotguns available?

Isn't that still considered a Mariner? I dig it but I'm sure when it was in production it was a good bit more than the same model 500 in blued. When I was a teenager I had a Winchester catalog that had the model 1300 Defender and Mariner. I wanted that shiny ass wood stocked Mariner some kinda bad. But even in the late 80s it had a retail price of over $400.00.

Yea, it's a Mariner. They were only a couple hundred made like this. They were given out to military and such for harsh weather testing.

This one is stainless and I wish I could find another one. This one is actually my cousins and he won't let it go.

Since I found the 18.5" one We have a deal about it. If I ever sale mine he gets it, if he ever sales his I get it.
