Why aren't guns selling?

Years ago, we had a saying in the car business….

"there's an ass for every seat"…..

Seems to hold true on ODT somewhat as well…. in 2020 through 2023 used guns seemed easier to sell and brought decent return on investment…. some even as much or more than at the store…. even buying online costs shipping plus FFL fees…. so if I could buy what I wanted for that much or less, I was (and still am) ok with that….. right now, it seems people are a little more conservative when buying anything…. but buyers are still out there…. ya just gotta be patient….

Another one of the sayings from the car business is "what you got for sale, is only worth as bad as the other guy wants it!"….. when store shelves have limited supplies as they did in 2021-2022 because of COVID and supply chain issues, there was greater urgency and incentive for many to "buy"…. probably not so much in the past six months…. so again…. be patient…. unless you’re pressed and need the money 'now'…. then ya gotta do, what ya gotta do

Fear not.

A manufactured panic will be along sometime in the near future to get the pot stirred.
We'll see......

Oh! I didn't know we had a sales market psychologist here. Isn't your post saying the same thing about people talking about another thing and saying the same thing? 🤣
Itde be a research analyst which you seem to try to be lol. Do you ever sell anything or just try to be an A alnen social personality.

This is the truth!

I learned that in the car business. People want new/different stuff but can't accept the depreciation of want they have. Most guns out there are made by the millions so they don't hold value like they would if made in limited numbers. Plus they are being sold by the trucks loads daily. People are wise and know if they wait just a little longer they will find a seller with some sense. For the most part you have educated buyers in here. They won't make foolish deals.
That's why MILSURPS rule!

My $650 CMP Garands go for $1,000 plus
My $750 CMP M1 Carbines go for $1,200
Have an SVT 40 I got for $1,000 and see them sell for $2,400-$2,900
K43 I got for $1,500 go for $3,000-$4,000

Not selling any, my son will have an awesome collection!
