Why can't we build houses more efficiently?

I hear ya, the wife and I have been looking in eastern Tennessee and northeastern Alabama of late. The handwriting is on the wall when you see a corrupt, bigoted, soft-porn romance writer almost get elected governor, and a state government that allows then turns a blind eye to election fraud it's time to get the heck out of Georgia...
Northeastern Alabama is awesome. I have family in Guntersville, great little town. Henagar, Scottsboro, and Rainsville are all inexpensive and safe, as well. Fishing is great, too. Do it!

Born here and I’ve lived here all my life, but looking back now I wish me and my wife would’ve moved to Montana when the opportunity was there... turned down the opportunity of a lifetime 3 years ago on a high paying job (130k) per year because my wife couldn’t leave her family. We were already under contract with a house out there and everything when we had to back out. I couldn’t leave my wife and she couldn’t leave her family, so we settled in fairmount on a little piece of land we call home now.

I just turned 24.

the job in Montana I was gonna be overseeing all drilling And blasting operations for quarries out there with Imerys carbonates.

Don’t feel bad

I turned down two jobs in Montana within the last month. I spent two weeks interviewing and at the end the pay was 2/3 of what they advertised and the benefits were 1/4 of what i currently have.

I still keep hope that we will find something out there

I’m shooting a job site in Peachtree city and they’re going from slab to a FINISHED house in 3 weeks... it’s stupid at the rate of the houses being built. As fast as the 20 guys on the framing crews are going there is absolutely no way anything is square in these houses.

Lol
It’s taking me four weeks just to get a concrete truck .

The deliveries literally have a three to five week wait time .
That’s not for the workers to do the finish , it’s three to four weeks on the waiting list to get the truck .
