Why do I bother looking at a thread that uses the word "Rare" to describe an item?

Not sure some of the newbies know how the interwebs work.
Recently one listed a gun on ODT for 10% more than he had the same gun listed on Gunbroker. No question, the boilerplate in both ads were identical.
Plus he had to pay the GB commission.
Funny he was willing to ship on GB, not willing to ship on ODT.
Anyway, gun sold quickly on ODT, so who is the stupid one.
Not saying he’s stupid. But , when you list a used gun for $200 more than new ones are listed for on the same page of Gunbroker , just saying !
my ads were listed as Very Rare
and it generated a lot of Bumps (mostly, "nothing rare about this gun", or "they'er a dime a dozen", so on and so forth)
and the Price remains very HIGH, as in Newbie Lowballer Priced High
I'm editing the ads and add VERY RARE back
Rare and engraved.....exactly like the other 50 years worth of production. I did look expecting some serious gold or silver workmanship.
"factory engraved"
"Who was the engraver, is it signed"
Crickets, or "I don't know"
May as well advertise, "painting, real oil paint"
