Why do you guys have several guns of the exact same model?

I heard of a guy that wants the same gun throughout his house if he has to move around in a situation...everything is the same and no need for additional thinking...just shoot shoot shoot.
One for me and one for the wife.
In the past I've had pairs of GP100s, G19s, G17s, and 1911s... then I sold almost everything and got down to the few that I shoot regularly. I refer to the previous collection as the few years that I went on a buying spree after the divorce. If the deal was right, I bought it during those years.
Before you get Cinco.. you start with Dos. I dont always drink beer, but when I do, I choose Dos Equis.
For me, I like Glocks and for me, when I shoot say a 1911 and I go back to Glocks my muscle memory is way off so I decided to carry one weapon. A Glock 19... But wait! I love my weapons and I need one in every room so I put a Glock 17 in every room to keep things consistent and utilize same ammo and mags across the board... I'm like that with my ARs. All of them are the same. M&P 15. My pumps all are Remington 870s. But I also have a trade addiction so from time to time I'll have other weapons listed for sale or trade but for me it's Glock 17/19, M&P 15, and Remington 870s all day every day.
