Why do you guys have several guns of the exact same model?

I own 5 MPs but they are in different calibers except 1 full sized 9mm and my Shield in 9mm. I own 2 Mossberg 500 12ga both are HD but one I have a vented rib bird barrel that I can change out with one.

My close shooting buddy just bought two FN Tactical 45's - one black and one FDE. He just ordered a FN five-seven the other day - have yet to see what color he got, but he may plan on twins again. I didn't question him. I guess I can always shoot his second one while he is shooting the other....Stan

Six Glock 27s. One for each car, one for each BoB, a couple in special caches just in case. And my EDC is a Glock 33. I really do like the hit on that .357 Sig round.

The Glock 27 is the best size/model Glock (and therefore best SHTF gun of all). Starts out 40 S&W with the best concealability of all. Takes EVERY length magazine that fits the caliber it is in. Can be converted from 40 S&W to .357 Sig with a simple drop in barrel or to 9MM with a barrel and mag swap. Rust-proof, fail-proof, idiot-proof. By carrying a Glock 27 with two extra barrels and two 9MM mags I have three fully functioning calibers in one gun. Sure beats carrying three whole guns around.

Oh and I'm currently laying in a few Ruger SR40C's. Have two of them. Also have a pair of Ruger P95's for full time 9MM platforms. For <= $250 they make fantastically reliable "truck guns".

As for long guns, while I do have a couple of AR platform guns(M4 and a pistol), the only one I really like to stock up on is Marlin(or Winchester) 30-30s. Just love the things and I can usually get them for <$250.

Why don't you have several of the exact same model? Are you not happy enough with your selections to want more than one? Over the years there have been several purchases I've made I wish I had picked up 50 or so. Like the $99 East German Maks,
