Why do I carry?

Same reason I have a fire extinguisher in the kitchen. Not that I plan on having a fire, but if I do I have the tool I need to put it out hopefully.

You should always carry when it is legal to do so. Beyond that, some choose to carry in a constitutional manner... whenever and wherever possible.

Please realize that because you live in an area that appears to be safe, that doesn't make it so. Bad things happen everywhere. I encourage you to be prepared. I see carrying as part of being a responsible citizen, just doing my part.
