All kidding aside, I have to admit that during the several years I was privileged to train NATO and allied forces on the nukes we had in Europe I did enjoy my times in France. Once the French liaison officer set up a lunch for us at the ruins / remains of an old Roman Bath that was somewhere in Paris. Felt weird sitting on an old Roman column looking at Paris.

Yes beautiful place but stayed on the mainland, the island was a bit out of our price range.
