Went to Puyloubier today on the recommendation of an ODTer who after serving in the US Army joined the Legion and visited the French Foreign Legion Vinyards, my thanks to him it was a great day, the old Legionaires were great fun and it was thoroughly enjoyable despite the somewhat ordinary weather.....

The whole place is immaculate and looked after by retired Legionaires......

As well as the Vinyards there is an interesting museum.....

The vinyard is situated under the Sainte Victoire Massif a favorite subject of
Cezanne......

.....like I said not the best of weather but very impressive when you can see it.

PS Bought a case of their wine, the stuff the officers drink, not the vinegar the give to the soldiers.
