Why is everyone ditching the 300 BO

Because it was a gimmick in the first place that's marginally Iess potent than the 7.62x39 at at least 3 times the cost.. Or maybe it's because it's blown away by just about everything else you can feed an AR except 22..seriously the ONLY reason to consider 300 Bo is if you intend to shoot exclusively suppressed and it has to be a 30 Cal..technically.

If it's such an awesome deal why would you turn it down because it's 300blk. Just swap the barrel.

Why would someone sell their AR for cheap because they no longer like 300blk instead of just swapping the barrel?

These questions keep me up at night. Also point me in the direction of these killer deals on 300blk AR's.
Actually traded into one like that.

I could be way off here....but I always thought the reason why we see so many 300 blackout guns for sale is the same reason why we see so many AR pistols. They are homebuild projects with cheap or inferior parts and the guns won’t run.

It takes some work with gas, springs and buffers to get these guns to run ultra-reliable and folks aren’t willing to do the work of swapping springs, buffers etc. They slap a gun together following a YouTube video with the cheapest parts they can find, take it to the range it hangs up every 2-5 rounds. So they turn around and sell it.

I always wonder about the homebuilts that are sold “never fired”. Really ? You spent all that time building a gun and never fired it? C’mon you can sell that, but I ain’t buying that.

Other reasons are as many have already said: 1) ammo costs 2) I was gonna get a suppressor 3) gun guys have ADD - we all want something bad until a new shinny object comes along that attracts out attention
