so there have been discussions before on here about local police departments getting those MRAPs from the DOD or whoever (the big ass military armored vehicles)

well, here is a video of the sheriffs department driving one around (no idea why)

*WARNING-the guys filming cuss and in general sound retarded"*

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=8d5_1394417559

after seeing one being driven around.........what is the purpose? seriously it makes no sense (i hope that the vehicle was being driven for an actual purpose rather than just for the hell of it)

Warner Robins has one, pisses me off, going from State police to a Police State!

We are all on the SS Titanic, no use arguing over the window seat!

Cause they can? :confused2:
i guess

i mean, im very against police departments acting as a business but i couldnt fault them for being able to get one at around 2K as the scrap metal alone is worth more

but from a practical standpoint in regards to proper equipment use and role......it makes no sense.

so if they bought them and instantly turned around and sold them for a profit i dont think id have an issue with it so much as them just buying one to look cool with

Its called an MRAP. Mine Resistant Ambush Protectant Vehicle. There are a few varieties of MRAP's and this particular one is called a MAXXPRO. There is no reason that a sheriffs department in the U.S. needs a vehicle that is IED proof. Waste of county taxpayers dollars.
