"They" don't earn the money needed to procure, maintain & operate said MRAP. They simply pass a tax rate and take it from me. So then I should have some say in what they spend it on. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. If they used their OWN money for that stuff, then so be it. However in that case I should be have access to the same products.

its not hypocritical at all, see individual right versus common sense. also, public tax dollars arent being spent on my 30 round mags

We do have a "say" in what they spend; Elections. Keep in mind, some of this stuff is purchased with forfeiture funds.

Same reason school district spend EVERYTHING in their budget even if they don't need it.

If you don't spend all of your budget, you cannot ask for an increase next year because your budget fell short.
