I could care less where a gun is made...all I care about is quality, fit, and function. The xds is the best in those categories I've came across thus far.

Exactly my thoughts. You can guess that I'm a Sig guy, but I buy what works for me and sometimes that's a Beretta, sometimes an XDs. Last weekend I put the XDs through multiple kinds of range and SD ammo, two-hand, strong hand, weak hand, and blistered hand shooting. No failures of any kind, except for my hand. Range gun it's not.

Bought a kydex body for my Comp-Tac Minotaur and it just disappears under a t-shirt. I've bought and sold other XD models and not a big fan of striker-fired, but this one I like.

I just wanna know guys, that there are alot of Springfield xds out for sale, trade or whatever. I was gonna guy one but it has to be a reason why everyone wants to get rid of theirs. Plz tell me!

I wouldn't get rid of mine! Sick gun, have put plenty of rounds through without issues. Friends with a lot of the SWAT guys in my city and for what it's worth they are all about them too!

Every XD I've ever owned and still do are as tough as a tank with no issues at all. I've yet to have a single issue with any XD. They eat every type of ammo, no ftf or fte, not once in 20 years. On sites like this you can find them very cheap because people buy into the "they're made in Croatia" and "copies of Glock" as if it's a bad thing. Ford created the first mass produced car but I still love my Chevy. "Springfield", wherever they're made, are solid and made with quality.

I tried Glocks in .45 and .40. I just did not like the way that they felt, nor fired.

I went to the XD .45 in 2008 and made it my primary CCW. I have exactly 4,227 rounds through mine with no issues whatsoever. I have shot everything from Blazer and Wolf .45 ball to Gold Dot, and have had no failures of fire, feed or extraction. I even went a year and about 1,200 rounds of various ammo, between cleanings just to see how it would do. No issues, just a very dirty weapon.

Are you referring to the VP-70? If so, NEAT gun, CRAPPY Trigger--Kinda' reminded me of a DEFECTIVE "Cap Gun" Trigger, or one of those AMT Back-Up things in .45 ACP w/the DAO Trigger--TERRIBLE!....mikey357

No i bought a gun of quality in a 45acp, Yes sally has a better gun than an XDS, And Sally can shoot a lightweight 45acp, Sorry i buy american nothing from croatia, Again IMO

Are you really trying to compare an XDs to a 1911? Two totally different guns for two totally different purposes. Lets see you try to stuff that 1911 in your pocket.

What about the XDs was "garbage" in your opinion?
