If I'm not mistaken, that Colt is about the size of an XDs. Maybe a tad taller, but that's about it.

I'd love to have a Colt Defender....such beautiful guns.

Are you really trying to compare a $500 gun to a $1000 1911, by the way they are almost the same size and the XDS is no match to the defender, Im sorry to have broken your Fanboy Feelings

Just curious, but how can one have quality trigger time behind a gun that they "did not have for long"? I mean, I understand that "did not have for long" is a very subjective term...could mean 4 weeks. Could mean 6 months.

Either way, love that Colt! I hear the trigger on it is absolutely buttery smooth.

Everything about the gun is garbage, A big waste of advertising, It seems that every one of these that are bought are resold, I have personally sent back multiples of these guns back to Springfield hrew the LGS i work threw, The gun would work if Springfield would make there guns in the same country they are out of, Instead they sub there guns out to increase profit but lose reliability, they should be ashamed of them selfs calling them self's the best american arms company, Agian this is just IMO, Sorry Fanboys- Springfield makes Some Amazing like there 1911 Line/M1A's

I had it for about a month shot it maybe 200 times, it just didn't do well with some 45 ammo/ mostly hollows. I will admit the colt trigger is nice but a 6lb pull should be more like a 4lb pull

Specifically, what is garbage about the gun? You claim to have sent them back to the factory so much; what was wrong with them?...And I am far from the "fanboy" that you say. I own Glock's, Springer's, S&W's, Kimber's, Browning's, etc. I have no brand loyalty(okay, maybe I am a little bit of a S&W "fanboy").

I've noticed mine did not like Federal HST for some reason. Put 50 rds of the stuff through it and had 8 FTFs. Does well with Speer and Winchester PDX though. Didn't have any FTF's with either of those.
