Think of all the trucks out there that have those motors. A low mile wreck job will net you years of good service. Slap a good carb manifold and a 600 CFM vacuum secondaries and she will run forever.

Will JB Weld do the job

I never had much luck with jb. I would weld it back together and should be good to go 
In my experience you want to use Permatex superglue with the yellow tube. Do not use the gel, won't work on the pores in forged steels. Be sure to put a little dot of grease or assembly lube in the oil hole to keep it from sealing over. Definitely tape off the bearing journal faces to keep them clean and prevent contamination. I usually fab up a cardboard jig just to hold it all square till it sets up.
Gorilla Glue or nothing.
