Even if you don't like MLB (you like their farm system though?), why would you hope that your hometown team tanks out and misses the playoffs?

The only reason I like the farm system is because those guys get out there and play there heart out trying to make it to the big league. Seems like most of them when they make it big and start making the big money for doing something they love, they start whining about making more and more money or there benefits etc. All the strikes every few years stopped me from ever wanting to give my HARD earned money to bunch of pro athletes. I love the college sports though. GO DAWGS!!!

I don't see the comparison at all. UGA hasn't had the type of success that the Braves have had in order to choke away anything.

braves, uga, and falcons all have had seasons lately where they had great win-loss records and all the talent to take it all the way but fell short for one reason or another.
