I recently was given a 1949 Winchester 62a from my dad. I noticed someone had drilled and tapped the right hand side of the receiver for 2 screws. Was this for some sort of peep sight from back in the day? Just curious if anyone had seen this bolt spacing on these before.
They did a crummy job. I will replace the screws with better ones that actually go flush with the receiver.
