General Patton wrote a letter to Springfield Armory that has given us one of the most memorable gun quotes of all time: “In my opinion, the M1 rifle is the greatest battle implement ever devised.”
Patton was a genius. I would take the M1 anyday over any rifle... ( well at least my 42 SA) which I love.
42 SA Garand @ 600 Yards. If i can do that imagine what our troops did every day with a M1.
