I know the officer that was attacked. He is truly a great guy, well liked and respected in our community. It doesn't surprise me at all that he would give someone a lift and try to help them.

And that friends is why people are so unwilling to help the homeless. The degree of craziness here may be a one off but the reality of of homeless people being violent or thieves is not.
