Won’t accelerate past 60-65

Fuel filter, bad gas, Cat conv.

That sounds like a bad bearing in the alternator, nothing to do with lack of power. Just a guess though.

Easy to diagnose if alt noise, briefly remove fan belt. If noise goes away, shazamm!

Alternator is on passenger side at the bottom (I hate fwd cars)

De-nutterize.

Lol, don't just pull the belt off the alternator. Crank pulley might still catch it.

Spray some carb cleaner in the offensive area to narrow down where the leak is. Or similar

I tried that before, got a bad rash on my butt.
