I took it to the mechanic the other day and I’ll give you guys the diagnosis since we’re all in this together. He says my overdrive just isn’t working. As long as I don’t try to pass anyone on the interstate the cars fine.

It also has a misfire which was the noise.

Nothing fine about it. That means the transmissions starting to fail. It's not going to get better, just worse.

True. I’m already looking at getting another vehicle. My wife’s going to use it because she doesn’t use the interstate in her commute. So make it last as long as we can and get something new.

That's what I'd do, put my wife in a car that's about to crap the bed. What could go wrong?
