Woodsmans Pal?

I got one a few years ago via amazon. I would look at the version that does not have the hand guard. Guard is fine if you are using the long blade gets in the way if you are using the hook. Overall is pretty good, better than a machete in my opinion. Combined with a brush axe you can clear some shooting lanes.

I love mine and use it around the house all the time. Mine does not have the handguard, the steel is easy to keep sharp. They usually have a few in stock at Cabelas in Acworth.

When I was surveying we carried a long handled brush axe, an army surplus machete, and a flat bladed shovel.

That fancy blade looks too hard too sharpen IMO. Gotta keep em sharp. They dull quick workin in the dirt..

My Dad uses his on his deer lease and complained about the unsharpened portion at the end of the main blade. It may be an issue for you, it may not.
