I got one a few years ago via amazon. I would look at the version that does not have the hand guard. Guard is fine if you are using the long blade gets in the way if you are using the hook. Overall is pretty good, better than a machete in my opinion. Combined with a brush axe you can clear some shooting lanes.
I love mine and use it around the house all the time. Mine does not have the handguard, the steel is easy to keep sharp. They usually have a few in stock at Cabelas in Acworth.
You are so right. It was awkward @ first, till I figured out the blade was not sharp all the way. It was easily sharpened & only took a few minutes. GR8 tool to have.
