World War 2 bring back + some of the coolest trench art

Interesting things from a generation nearly gone from us.

Does this 98 still retain the lange vizier (roller coaster rear sight) or updated leaf sight? Since you mentioned the second world war, a lot of 98s were updated in this way as the Versailles Treaty prohibited a lot of arms production in Germany after the Great War.

I will get a pic in a few. That's odd we did have one from ww1 but my cousin got it . Unless we got them mixed up.

If there is enough intrest I can dig out the letters from WW2 where my great grandfather was all over France as well as the letters from my other ancestor he was part of the TN calvary and ended up a POW held by the union during the Civil War. There is a pretty good size book from each .

Would love to read whatever you were up to transcribe!

carlton wright I am still interested in the Civil War letters. If you are interested in selling them I am a likely buyer, although I would have to thoroughly inspect them in order to authenticate before I purchase.
