Would like a flippers point of view...

I understand the concept of brotherhood here on the ODT. However I have also seen the band of brothers selling AR's and XDs at inflated prices when things went stupid. I don't think any less of them or the site as a whole. I do not look at who is selling what, I look for what I want to buy at the moment.
If the price is too high I will make an offer or try to negotiate, if that does not work out I move on.
I suspect many list their gun or ammo at an inflated price knowing they will not sell it for the asking price.
Yes there are a few who have nothing better to do than drive around buying up .22lr then reselling it here for a profit.
I sold my Ruger and all of my .22lr over a year ago because I knew it was not going to be reasonable to shoot it because of the ammo situation.
Sucks for me but that is the reality of it. Never thought I would see the day when shooting my .45's would be cheaper than a .22.
I get what you guys are upset about, I just hate that it seems to be eating at so many. I don't want anyone to get an ulcer because of the stress.
Anyway, carry on sir. I will not disparage speaking your mind.

****ing nanny wannabees. Jersey has a great culture in place for you. You can move into a subdivision there and you'll be told exactly what's socially acceptable. You'll have lots of wonderful rules to follow.

Do you think people are getting wealthy selling ammunition? ****, I feel sorry for these people, scurrying around town, looking for a few boxes of ammo to sell and make a few bucks. I'd think most people would think that existence is punishment enough for any perceived wrongdoing.

im not proposing any rules, its pretty obvious who the flippers are and who are some guys who just wanna sell stuff they have had for a while or dont have a use for or whatever

I am selling a couple of the guns I picked up at the buyback for more than I paid. Am I flipping them? There were no 4473s, those guns were headed to the smelt, and I froze my ass off doing it. Should I not be able to turn those into other guns for my hobby?

For that aggravation (and risk) you deserve whatever you get. I'm sure you know exactly what I'm referring to here in my thread.
BTW....in the manner you purchased those weapons....were you concerned about their history or did you have the serial #'s checked out?

I'll tell you this much. If my stamps come back before I find some flipping 22 ammo I will be flipping buying some flipping 22 from a flipping flipper. I could sit around and cry about the injustice while cleaning the sand out of my bag, or I could go shooting and have a blast. Pretty simple choice if you ask me.

I found out one of the chief flippers on here that we all know is LEO.

EVERY person that I met on the ODT to buy ammo from was LEO!! One even showed up in his cop car.

I am going to have the numbers run but I am not too concerned. These were mostly old people selling "Daddy's old gun".

You could easily buy from a flipper AND ***** about the price. No need to make a choice for one or the other.
