Would like a flippers point of view...

It's just extra money. It doesn't matter how much. One extra dollar in my pocket is one dollar more than I'd have otherwise. Not saying it's gonna make you any friends or anything. Would I flip ammo if I had the means? Sure. But I wouldn't do it here. You know the saying, don't **** where you eat.

ya maybe

but the folks doing the active flipping (scouring walmarts and what not) obviously dont have regular jobs, so they are either retired, on disability or something, or work strange hours

i myself have a 9 to 5, i honestly dont have time to flip anything on here for a profit

the amount made is pretty much a packet of peanuts in the grand scheme of things. i have sold some guns when i needed extra cash, but i dont see how i could consistently buy for the purpose of reselling and turn a legitimate profit to be worth my time

so that being said a career flipper's time is pretty worthless otherwise if that much energy is dedicated for such a small gain

So you think there is a metric that is not profit driven, that sellers are using to determine markup? Sure, like a magic 8 ball?

It has nothing to do with the seller. It has everything to do with a term people are giving to others because they are marking up at a certain percentage. So yeah people must be using a magic 8 ball.

So one man's "flipper" is another man's "gee I am sure glad you have that product because I really want/need it"?

without the flipping and frenzied buying perhaps there would be more in stores? (but thats hearsay and subjective so whatever)

and i said it before in here. if someone wants to over pay for something like a chump thats between them and the low rent douche selling to them at the inflated cost

i will stand over here and not be a part of it

So the market is dictating the price.....sounds vaguely familiar to my previous post.

Yep, a few guns have pretty much been like bonds or CDs for me. I'll hold em for a while, have my fun with them.. But if I need a quick $500, I know I can usually cash it in pretty quickly for what I've got in it.

And if I've got 22, you better believe I'm gonna shoot it.
