Would you if you could

I inspected it thoroughly. Everything fit and worked correctly. No visible defects in either the upper or lower. Gun charged smoothly. Trigger sucked but hey I didn't expect drop in 3 on. pull. He let me take it down and inspect everything. Staked gas key yada, yada, yada. I was planning on re-barred, trigger and bolt carrier group if I pick it up. It's in a private collection so I have time to give it some thought. Another influencing factor is the panic state we are in. I don't now what's gonna happen and it could be that one day it could be worth more than what I am paying. Plus I was wanting to do a home camo job and it would be a good culprit for that.
One thing is for certain if they ever get back down to those low prices I am going to buy a stack of them. I believe it's the Ruger that has HFB. I will toss it around. Plus if parts ever come back around I just replace the receivers and have a decent rifle.

If it makes you happy, buy it. No need for input from others. Your money. Your potential rifle.

I bought an ar lately from a buddy. It was above the sale price last year and below current market price.
I don't care because it fills a role and the "should have bought earlier tax" was paid to a friend.

I also believe that there are probably some builds out there are built on Anderson receivers that have given guys years of problem free function. Then of course there is the other end of that as well. On a whim I picked up a type ll 6.5 Grendel BCG that just waiting for home. To many things to consider. I am getting a headache.

Here lately I haven't been building any AR's. This is deer country. I have tearing down 30-30 lever guns, clean and strip and reblue a blued parts. After that I refurbish the wood. Sand it down. Then steam the wood. That raises the pulp and take most ding a shallow scratches. After it dries I use stain to original color and use wood wax. Let that wax set up then buff it out. Looks like it just came off the shelf.
I did a 8mm Mauser last week. Beautiful gun when it was finished.
