I use Anderson lowers because I got literally 4 of them for $50 a piece. Just use quality parts. If you’re not sure have a smith spec them out. I’m not running around saying they are DD or BCM, but they are better quality builds than the production line sub $1000 AR market. They are fine, shoot fine, haven’t had any failures / issues. I also have PSA, spikes, ruger, and SW. in today’s AR market, that would be fine for $600. The next 4-8 years that price is only going to increase.

I am going through the classifieds and I am seeing PSA. uppers only for 600. I don't get it.
Now thats a "garbage" build. A BCA upper on a Anderson lower with chinesium lower parts. Not worth more than $350 pre-rona but times are different now and there are no rules.
I completely agree with the comment if it makes you happy then buy it. I don’t worry much about what others think on this sort of thing.
