Would you if you could

I would look at all the other components on the gun, if they are quality parts, I would buy it. Lower receivers are cheap, when compared to barrels, triggers, BCGs. IF you are worried what the rollmark says on the receiver, swap it out.

You never know how reliable your AR is going to be, till you run it hard. I have seen $2k builds choke on the competition circuit, while $750 builds run and run without any issues.

Nothing wrong with Anderson at all. I’ve trusted my life with them...Just use a good LPK and trigger ...

I did'un know what an "LPK" was.
Had to look that term up.

My AR is a home-assembled retro style M-16 A1 type of rifle,
using an Anderson lower and a DelTon upper and barrel,
with unknown internal parts.

The trigger is a little too heavy and gritty for serious target work but I didn't get it for serious target work I got it for plinking and satisfaction of keeping a modest size group w/ iron sights out to 200 yards, or with a fixed four power scope out to 300 yds.

I've not yet shot it past 200 yards, but it seems to work fine for my purposes, and I've got probably 500 rounds fired through it already,
mostly Wolf or Tula cheap ammo, but a few 20 round boxes of good brass cased American made ammo.

For a $400 gun (yeah, an ODT acquisition) it makes me happy.

He said he would let me take it and shoot it. I know most of what I am hearing but I guess no needed a little push in one direction of the other. If they go up then good for me but off they go down what the hell it's vonly a few hundred bucks. I was watching Guns and Ammon TV And we're talking 6mm ARC cartridge. I might build one of those and then just swap receivers later. I have a Grendel BCG but after hearing about that ARC cartridge I might go that route when barrels are available. I am going to shoot the gun this weekend and it will take 100 rounds without fail I will probably buy it. It's a really nice looking rifle. This is strictly a put another AR in the safe just in case. I swore I would never buy another assembled rifle since I build them but right now that option is just not a option. Receivers, barrels and good BCG's are just non existent. I can just swap out parts as they come back to the market place. The ARC has another 200 yards of effective range over the Gredel

Barrels are available. The factory ammo, primers, powder, cases and projectiles are not.

Precision have Criterion, Bartlien and Krieger as well. High prices bastards once you start adding on goodies. Not that I haven't paid that before. Actually the Faxon 18 inch gunner series took number one in 6.5 Grendel barrels in a couple of comparison articles I read. I don't if they hold a candle to Barlein or Krieger though.

It's a precision cartridge. Pay for a precision build. Don't cheap out and neuter the intended purpose of the cartridge.
