Would you shoot a dog that was attacking you?

Brown dog, tan dog, white dog, black dog , hairy dog, mange laden dog, two legged or four, if its aggressive in a way that it may harm life or limb of any member of my family including my dogs.......will be neutralized with extreme prejudice!

One reason I carry when I walk my dogs. Had to pull my pistol once, large German Shepard started coming after my leashed Beagles. His owner ( who was letting him run free in defiance of the local leash laws) started yelling at me, and threatened to shoot me if I shot his dog. I told him to get control of his animal and I wouldn't have to shoot both him and his dog. He started yelling about calling the cops. Told him go ahead, he was in violation of the law and had threatened me first. No damage was done to anything but his pride and my blood pressure.

I'm glad that worked out the way it did. Shephard owner was definitely a tool.
