Local Kroger (less than 2 miles from my house) is always out of stuff. I find I can usually go to a different store and find whatever I am looking for, it's just a bit more inconvenient.

For example, Ritz crackers have been slim pickings at the nearest Kroger for months. While other stores have shelves full of every type of Ritz crackers.
