I have a 1953 STAR MODEL B that is a superb pistol. I, too, received the e-mail from AIM today and ordered my handpicked STAR. Being a WWII production model, it fits into a couple places in my collection. I hope I can get it with wood grips.

Pretty cool looking. Couldn't talk myself into buying one, though, cause it's not a) a .45 or b) a High Power, the only 9mm I'd consider owning.

Still, a cool looking piece of history.

They were/are used a lot in movies to substitute for 1911's. The 9mm cycled better with blanks than the .45 ACP.
