XDs......love it or leave it?

Maybe I should have written it "XDS" which is a single stack 45 acp. I've read about magazine not releasing issues, light strike FTF issues, and the slide not returning to full battery issues.

I knew what ya meant!
Me too and that's what I have. I've only ran a little over 50 rounds through it but never had a hiccup of any sort. Recoil is what you would expect in a small .45 but not an issue. I would recommend the extended mag as it gives a better grip and more capacity.

I loved the feel of it and it shoots really well. My only issue is that in reality it isn't that much smaller than say a glock19/23 even though it's supposed to be "ultra compact) and in the end I'd rather carry 13-15 rounds of ammo than 5/6 even if it's a 45.

I'd like to hear some feedback from XDs owners. I've heard a lot of negative issues with this weapon but it sounds like the perfect cc. I want one but not not with issues...

Thanks

I've put over 800 rounds through mine without an issue. I get 1-2 in. Groups at 10-12 ft.

Edit: I'm at over 1k now.

A glock isn't much smaller than a Hi-point, so why spend the extra money for a glock?

Actually the XDS is smaller, and even a 1/10 of an inch can make a huge difference to some people.

XDS is perfect. No issues with mine. Recoil is mild for me. Not too bad, but definitely not a range gun. I can get about 200 rounds in before I have to call it quits. Its the perfect CCW and Pearce grips just released grip extensions (no added rounds) if the grip is too small for you. I love mine, and it shoots well. Its the only handgun Ive kept longer than 3 months.

I wanna try one at the range, I have a kahr K-9 fits good.

the grip on the Glocks are way too large for my little hands.

Wearing it now. Most comfortable .45 you'll ever carry. With 5+1 and another mag of 5, I can't imagine needing more. And recoil is very mild, especially when you consider it's such a small gun. I'm a Glock fan, but the XDS outshines the G36 easily. WAY thinner, which is the biggest difference for me. It's smaller and thinner than my G27, which used to be my EDC. Love it.
