Hands down my favorite gun too. I made the same mistake twice and sold my first two 17s but third time's the charm and I'm keeping my current one. It's a sweet shooter. I got a super deal on my latest one and got it for $2250 used

Normally I would agree on mark up, but I disagree on the Scar line. It's well engineered and well built. I'm not saying they got 2k in them, but I bet it's more than 700

One way to save a few bucks is to become an NRA Certified Instructor, which allows you to purchase directly from FN-America. Instructor pricing for the 17S is $2529 (retail is $3,349) and the 16S is $2254 (retail is $2,995). Other manufacturers also participate in the program, but don't tell anybody!! So they only let instructors buy the black 17s? Everyone knows they are less accurate than FDE, lol
