$100 off and they are still making a huge profit off of buyers! I have nothing against companies making a profit. I just wont be one to help them do it at that massive percentage!

simple economics at work.
No competition and high demand = high price
They now have plenty of great competition, I suspect we'll see the prices continue to drop, but there will still be the Yeti fans that will pay more just for the status symbol of the Yeti.
Full disclosure, I have two older Yeti coolers, but have made the switch to the less expensive options. I don't see another Yeti in my future unless the prices fall much further
