you ever notice?

they get prices to a level and let the public get used to it and let it simmer at that point then WHAM!!!!! shove it to you again?
Or, they jack them way up and then everyone around you seems happy when they come down by 10%.
Like gas. When it comes down below $4 people will be smiling and saying, “well, it was a whole lot worse last month”.

Cigarettes(I don’t smoke, but sympathize) and gas should both be under a dollar.

Almost a dollar of a gallon of gas and we’ll over a buck in a pack of smokes goes straight to good ol Uncle Sam.

When I think about the amount of work that goes into producing a pack of cigarettes or a gallon of gasoline that’s pumped straight into a vehicle, I’m actually amazed that both aren’t more expensive.

“Big oil” and “big tobacco” put a lot of effort and energy into their slim profit margins. Sure they might make 100 billion net in a year, but the gross was 5 trillion. Nanny government on the other hand profits 30 billion for simply existing.

Kinda like the lottery. There has been one winner of every jackpot in the history of the poweball. The Federal government.

It’s not just the taxes, it’s all the regulations and costs involved in following those regulations in every step of production and distribution.
One of the smartest things Trump did was reducing stupid regulations on business. It immediately reduces costs and helps increase production.
