You have to leave on foot, which 2 guns do you take with you and why?

Can't do it. There is a Henry Survivor AR7 in my BoB along with 1000 rounds of .22, 100 9MM and 3 mags for the AK and AR. So if the wife and I have to head for the hills I'm carrying a Glock27 or 23 and my AK. The wife will be carrying a Glock 27 or 23 and an AR15. The AR7 makes 3, sorry. Both Glocks have 9MM conversion barrel/mag setups. As for papers, the MOST important papers in a SHFT evacuation are:

The answer should be based upon, what are the most common Gauges/Calibers of guns that are already in the hands of the masses, i.e.( Less ammo to carry, because you will find ammo....)

Ruger 10/22 because I can also carry 4000-5000 rounds and Glock 19.

I'd second that although mine would have to be the 15-22 I got for me and my daughter. A well placed 22 lr will drop a man instantly if shot in the head, minimal recoil so I can come up with a quick follow up shot or two to ensure they fall. The G19 will work for upclose to medium distances with two in the chest, one to the cranium. At much longer distances that would leave the 22 ineffective and the g19 impractical, I'm taking cover and getting out of the x.

You'll also find the guns too. 12 guages etc...but until bodies start falling and I have to fend for myself, a 22 will not only provide a steady source of meat but could be used for headshots, low recoil fast follow ups at long distances. And like ccw said, I can carry a large enough supply of ammo to not have to worry about finding more.
