I love these threads... Always Good to see folks who actually think vs the ones that want to make sure you know they have a small wiener (look tough)
I'll take my AR with .22 conv kit and mags for it. Then the trusty .22 pistol.

Some of you who said you would bug out with your AR or AK should pour 1000 rounds into a backpack and carry it and your weapons around for one day.

LOL! I have 3 loaded mags for each in there..that's plenty thank you. The wife and I take a 2 mile stroll a couple of times a week. Once in a while I do it in "full ruck" and so I DO appreciate how much I HOPE I never have to actually bug out. I'm working on getting in better shape and "rucking" it is on the menu for that.

the rifle itself pushes what.around 8-10lbs..Not much, then you say...30lbs of ammo, if just laying loose, more if packaged into ammo cans, medical supplies, water is heavy enough...the weight starts adding up quickly.
