You go to a Steel Challenge Match and your the only one shooting iron sights. And guys are saying they can't shoot iron sights fast. These are the same guys that can't drive a manual transmission.

Old school is good, just remember that. When that tech stuff glitches out, old school keeps goin without missing a beatI must be old (or dumb?) cause I don’t know what “other than iron” sights are.. BTW, you’re really old if can drive a three on the tree
I have way more experience with iron sights on pistols than any kind of optics,
and have a shelf full of trophies, most of them earned with iron sights.
But.... I'm always pleasantly surprised how much better I shoot with a red dot optic, and if I were to have a "game gun"
that was not going to be carried, or a hunting pistol that gets carried for sport, not to save my life, yeah, that special-purpose gun would have an optic.

I don`t bet my life on a battery or electronics.
I carry a handgun with irons and a scoped rifle. Unless it's black powder hunting. Even though a scope is legal on BP. The pistol is used when game or conditions require iron sights. If anyway possible I'll use the rifle.
Muzzle loader is a joke with todays technology,why not just change to single shot rifle, or muzzleloader.then you wouldn’t have to tote a suitcase.with essentials.the only reason I have one it’s a extra week of gun hunting.

I like to hunt ML week. Pretty much 100% success. I have like 5 speed loaders. I have a single shot rifle too. That's a rifle season brush gun. I've taken 3 deer at a time with a single shot, bolt, lever and semi. I usually just take one with a ML or handgun. At least I don't recall doing multiples with the latter. Once I can get the rifle in play, that's what I use
I'm surprised that everyone doesn't have at least one of these. The iron sights co-witness with a green dot Holosun even has a built-in solar charger. I couldn't consistently hit at 50yds with iron sites, can't hardly miss with the Holosun.
