Guy wants to work overtime. Should he not be compensated for it? Now weather he was able to function at 100% working all those hours is another question. But, if a man wants to work more than 40 hours he deserves to be paid for it. I say good for him. Hell, im not woking overtime unless im paid overtime wages. Thats what makes it worth it.

I do not blame the workers at all. It’s the damn government union pension bull**** rules.

It’s legal and its smart if your the retiree but its bull**** for the taxpayer

I had a few cop friends who did the same thing. It was an unwritten rule in their department that guys getting ready to retire got first crack at all "extra-time" work; working security at sporting events, sitting at construction zones, etc. All the extra-time went toward their retirement pay calculation. They could double what they would have received in retirement pay.
