Yeah right. Jimmy Carter had just destroyed the economy. Jobs were hard to find. Not a lot of extra money floating around. That is why I was back in the military, lost a stripe going back in so 23 year old E3 married, could barely afford the rent. I was on a ship patrolling the area between Cuba and the Yucatan channel (mostly). Pretty much just struggling to get by.
