This is regarding hunting coyotes during specific dates for coyote only.


Some WMA's say "Small game weapons only"

On page 14 of the hunting regulations I read:

"SMALL GAME & FURBEARER FITEARMS
....For Bobcats and fox, centerfire firearms, centerfire firearm of .17 caliber and larger may be used."


Do you think that a .223 or 5.56 can be used?
 
WMAs have there own regs separate from whatever county they are in. i would try to email them directly for an answer, or track down a game warden/dnr and ask them. dont trust everything you read on the internet lol. the horses mouth is the best bet.
 
centerfire firearm of .17 caliber and larger may be used.

Rimfire rounds are prohibited. Any centerfire round .17 or larger, means just that. And yes, 22 is a larger caliber than 17
