I've liked LW Commanders for almost 50 years. Now I have a Springfield RO Compact that is even better. I shoot the 5" steel frame gun at the range and carry the LW compact. It's the best of both worlds.

My favorite pistol that I own is a full size Kimber. Shoots better than anything I have ever fired.

But it would be tough to carry!

Alot of great suggestions already, the 1911, most makes, shoot good. I vote Glock 30s..compact w/11 on deck.
