Guess it will increase lawyer advertising 
WSB radio and TV has been eagerly promoting this idea, with news stories that say that city officials in some of the more liberal and black-run cities around Atlanta metro want to adopt San Jose's mandatory insurance law.
None of those news stories ever mentioned that the scheme would be blatantly unlawful per the STATE PREEMPTION LAW,
code section 16-11-173, which says only the state legislature itself, the Georgia General Assembly, can set the gun control policy in our state, and cities and counties have no authority to do anything that restricts or regulates the possession or carry or sale of guns. The must not regulate these things "in any manner" whatsoever.
Atlanta and several other cities have already lost lawsuits, some of which have been reported and printed in the caselaw books.
But the liberal news media ignores that and wants to promote the myth that there is no limit to what gun control the government may impose on people, as long as it's done for public safety reasons.
