Zastava AK-47 M70 O- PAP

I'm partial to red/cherry personally. I think some light sanding will take some of the black marks off the wood. Is it worth it to take the wood off first? It's obviously easy enough to take the top piece off, but not so sure about the bottom piece and butt stock.

I like the Minwax sedona red myself.

Nice score! After you take the wood off just be careful not to sand where it touched metal, or sand that area lightly so it keeps a tight fit..

You can stain,let dry, sand lightly, strain again (several times if if need be) to get more grain to pop then tung oil or whatever finish ya like
